With Father’s Day just around the corner, we headed to London on Wednesday evening to treat Mr L to pizza and quality time with his favourite girls.
After being warmly welcomed by our hosts at Pizza Express on Gloucester Road, we quickly found ourselves, beer in hand, learning all about how best to stretch and shape our pizza dough.
Following a quick practice go, the pizza dough was ready to be piled high with topping and sent to the kitchen to cook.
While waiting to taste our creations we demolished a rather large plate of dough balls while chatting about our day.
Sometimes, mainly due to the pressures of daily life, we don’t always make to time stop and relax at dinner. It’s often a chore that needs getting through so that we can get reading, bath and bed started. So I always delight in an excuse to eat out with my little tribe, as it forces us to truly unwind and make time to chat about the small stuff.
Without much of a wait our pizzas were ready and it was time to tuck in to our creations. They went half bad, even if I do say so myself!
We made a little video of the Father’s Day at Pizza Express fun we had if you would like to find out more about what a Pizza Express Party is all about.
